Lookbook

The look-book is going to be a fold out. I picked up this idea from a exhibition guide in Amsterdam. The fold out is something I think is a little different and will work well once I have applied Rosie's branding and content to it.

I began by creating an identical net. This was the most challenging part as then et was anything but straight forward. I found it difficult to visually how the fold out would be printed as it require a two side print.

Also I don't know why my print screen keeps changing the background grey of my art board. The foldout spreads are A5 in side but get slightly larger with each tab.

I began applying the current logo to the front page of the look book to get a feel for what it might look like. Rosie stated in her brief that she wanted to keep the branding fairly simple using black and white. She felt this summed up her brand rather than the use of multiple colours.

I started mocking up the pages in a separate indesign document outside of the foldout layout. It was to time constraining applying each page within the layout and I intend to drop them in when the pages are finished.

White font cover variation

I have suggested to Rosie that maybe the look book include other elements such as a bio about herself as well as a CV. This would make it more practical as a send out to studios or designed she may want to intern with.

Although Rosie said she wanted black and white I introduced this pink to break it up a bit and once I showed Rosie the mock ups she liked it and suggested we keep it. I still need Rosie to fill in the areas with text and give me title name etc. Currently it is lorem ipsum.

I started working on multiple layouts for the mages I received. The images are high res and also look great which is a big advantage to using inferior ones as the look book is predominantly image based.

Here you can see how the look book might actually look like once printed. There will be more tabs on the actual look book which I wasn't able to photoshop in. The purpose of this is to give me and idea of how it might looks.

This is how one side of the look book will appear once printed. The look book is quite big height wise meaning that it may need printing in two parts and sticking together. This might create difficulties later. I will need to speak to the print technician to decide the best course of action.

Business card + Letterhead

I applied the black and white theme across the business card and letterhead. I felt the business card would look great if it had a black spot varnish on top of a matt black stock. I started creating variations of the business card with different logos as the branding process was updated.

After having a crit with Rosie she felt the logo needed to bolder in order for it to stand out more. I created the bolder version below but I think it might be a little too bold. Something in between would be better.

It was also decided the business card would have a white background where the text would appear in order to make it bolder as well. You can see below I have mocked it up.

I started designing elements of the letterhead, again I am trying to keep it simple with a black and white colour scheme.

The back of the letterhead could contain an image from a certain look. When designing stationary I think it is appropriate to think about how much the set will cost to produce. It doesn't make sense to use too many processes and increase the price unnecessarily.

What it should look like when it is photographed properly. Again just a quick mock up but you get a feel for how the range might interact.

Website

The website will be responsive and feature a simple grid which will allow Rosie to manage it herself. I think I am going to mock it up as I am not confident in my web developing skills.
