The titles of the ideas were quickly thought about as to not break my trail of thought. Ideally a concept would be applied to each idea.
Designsheets:
The headings are business and existing concepts which I needed to further research.
At the same time as finding existing ideas that answered the brief I started thinking of my own and recording them on paper. The reason the judging criteria is stuck on the development sheet is to remind me what I am trying to achieve.
I started adding to ideas as I thought about how they could function in more depth.
Explanation of ideas:
Collaboration
This idea was basically a service which allows people in the creative industry to search for a collaborator. Although services like this do exist, I thought it would be a good idea if the service specifically was aimed at collaboration.
House Swap
Sharing houses when someone goes abroad. Locally selecting a user to mind a house.
Tuition Swap
If you have a skill set which allows you to tutor people it might be nice if you could join a community which allows you to swap your skill set with anthers.
Profession Swap
Similar to tuition swap but instead of a hobby based skill set it would be a profession which would allow you to trade a job for a job.
Organic Food Swap
Connecting organic food growers to one another, allowing them to trade food. Simple idea but with a system that rated the difficulty in growing food along with the price of growing the food it would allow people to fairly swap.
Coffee Grounds
Connecting coffee waste product to people who can utilise the waste for example as manure.
Tea Bag Recycling
Same idea as the coffee idea but with used tea bags.
City Guide
Sharing good advice on a particular city.
Culture Guide
If you are informed on how a specific culture works you could share advice for people travel to a country foreign to them but not to you. This would allow the person to integrate into the culture faster.
Garage/Workshop
A communal workshop/area to share. My idea for this would be more community based almost like a social club. I imagined older men and women passing on craft and trade skills to a younger generation. I used to practice woodwork with my grand dad.
Job Hunter
I think this is a brilliant idea but I don't know how it would work especially within my one week deadline. Basically it an employment agency that allows people to do multiple jobs within 1 year. I thought about a job which consisted of doing something new every 2 weeks. I thought about how many people you would meet and how many skills you could potentially pick up. Even if the user only finds out what he's interested in this would be highly valuable.
Current Interest
I get tend to get obsessed with specific interests regularly This would allow people to do an interest search and connect people who are like minded.
Paint Swap
I thought this idea could potentially materialise. After you decorate your house there is always paint left over. This would allow you to fairly and efficiently trade paint within your community.
Construction Share
Trading leftover construction materials with others. I was thinking a job for a job. Plumbing for a bricklaying job.
Plant Cuttings
Connecting gardener allowing them to share plant cuttings.
Dog Tinder
Puppy trading buying system that mimics human tinder.
Space Sharing
Allowing people to find communal gardens to plant there organic food.
Garden Waste
Connecting people who want to get rid of garden waste to people who want it.
Storage
connecting people with storage space to people without it.
Come Dine With Me
Allowing people with everyday homes to host a restaurant night with complete strangers. Obvious;y the name would have to change.
Idea Feedback
A online community which allows online feedback.
Buying in Bulk
Allowing people to save money by purchasing everyday good in bulk and splitting them.

The RSA brief is more difficult as a brief because the content is not defined. Before even thinking of a concept for the idea I have to think of the idea. This is difficult but enjoyable.
I began by developing the ideas I thought were the best.
Positive/Negative sheet:
Re-usable Envelope
Positives:
Saves paper
Saves money
Saves landfill space/recycling costs
The more people use it the less disposable envelopes are in circulation.
Interactive features
Makes letter sending more personal
Big idea
Commercially lucrative
Global effect
Minimal involvement effort
Government incentives
Negatives:
Hard to promote
Big idea
No direct saving to the first users
Skip Raid
Positives:
Saves money for skip owners
Saves landfill space
Creative outcomes
Encourages community sharing
Manageable project
Direct savings on both sides
Medium effort for people
Current trend of shabby chic
Simple idea
Negatives:
Not commercially lucrative
Hard to promote?
From the further research I did (research post) I decided the Skip sharing idea was the most suitable and achievable in terms of finished product. This was strongly influence by the originality of the skip idea.

Concept
I started thinking of themes/concepts I could explore that could be applied to the idea of 'skip raiding'.
The main idea was pirates and the area of hidden treasure. I used the thesaurus to find other terms related to pirates/
On this sheet I started organising the implementation of the idea of skip raiding. I wanted to find the boundaries and categories that exist within using materials from skips.
Is it legal?
Is it safe?
Is it worth it?
